The following detail will be updated as information becomes available. 

A trip is an experience of a lifetime! KCI Music is so excited to make this experience a reality for as many KCI students as possible. Please review all of the following steps in order to make decisions about taking advantage of this opportunity. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us. We want to ensure as smooth a travel experience right from making the decision to attend, through registration, and ultimately to departure and the tour itself!

 

All paperwork for the trip, unless otherwise indicated, must

be printed from this website and completed as required. 

 

The cost of the NYC 2018 will be $1000. This includes accommodation, transportation, tours of many cultural sights, 3 out-of-this world evening musical performances, some meals, and a priceless amount of fun! You are also required to purchase the comprehensive travel insurance package for an additional $50. To help off-set this trip cost, fundraising opportunities will be available in both the fall and winter. 

 

Step 1 - Helping You Decide

A trip experience is a big commitment, both in terms of finances and time. The information in Step 1 will help you understand the entire trip registration process.

 

The first form listed is the Preliminary Itinerary. This adventure is jammed packed with cultural, culinary, and musical events.

The second form details eligibility and trip registration procedures. Please read this document carefully before making your decision. Below it is a copy of the standard field trip information form you may also want to have on hand.

The third form outlines the details of the $50 mandatory comprehensive travel insurance policy. The school board requires that all student travellers possess such insurance when travelling out-of-province.

Step 2 - You Have Decided!

Thank you for your support of this experience! We trust you will have an incredible journey and form many lasting, positive memories. Please follow the instructions listed in the NYC Trip List Protocol. The envelope that is required to complete your registration will be available from the KCI Music Office (Room 116) on Thursday, November 16.

Step 3 - Registration Time!

Registration for our tour experience is a celebration! All you need to do is submit your completed registration in the required envelope and then enjoy the company of your fellow traveling companions along with some great breakfast snacks! Since registration is done on a first-come, first-served basis, we ensure equitable access to this trip by having all students register at the same time: Thursday, November 30, beginning at 7:30 AM in Room 110. Thanks for your patience as we process your registration. A waiting list will be established if needed.

 

Step 4 - Trip Update

DO NOT PRINT THE FOLLOWING FORM. It is provided here for your reference.

A personalized hard copy of the following form will be distributed to you on Monday, March 19, 2018. It will contain and require important information to ensure our trip is a success. IT IS TIME SENSITIVE. Please ensure the completed form is returned to the Music Office (Room 116) on or before Thursday, March 30, 2018.

Step 5 - Room Mate Selection Process

The Roommate selection is now complete. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to speak to one of the trip chaperones.

 

Step 6 - Trip Meeting

A mandatory Trip Meeting will be held for all students and a parent/guardian on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in the KCI Auditorium at 7:00 PM. Please note that this meeting was one of the eligibility requirements for students travelling to New York City. It is essential that each student is present with a parent/guardian. Please plan accordingly. Closer to the time of this meeting, the agenda, including important international travel considerations, will be posted to this section of the website. This agenda will also be distributed in hard copy at the meeting.
